Chair of Governors

This academic year is an exciting time for the Kingsmead community with the opening of the new school building and the appointment of a new Headteacher.  This has meant the Governing Body has had more to do than usual, in both appointing the new Headteacher and making decisions about the strategic direction of the school.  I am pleased to say that Mr Eddy, new Headteacher, is settling in well and the new building has significantly improved the learning environment and catering facilities for all students.

As a Governing Body, who are a group of volunteers with a wide range of skills and experience drawn from the local community, we will continue to provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment for our students in which they can thrive both academically and emotionally, with many opportunities for non-academic activities.  Our emphasis on pastoral care remains, and it is our overriding ambition that each student should leave Kingsmead having achieved their best and equipped for whatever the future holds for them.

If you ever wish to contact the Governing Body, the best way to do this is by emailing our Clerk to Governors, Mrs Liz Chatfield: liz.chatfield@kingsmead-school.com
