Outdoor Education Partnership Programme

A group of Kingsmead students have enjoyed a fantastic first session on their outdoor education programme with The National Trust on the Holnicote Estate, Exmoor.

The group firstly spent time with the Ranger team in Bossington to observe the arrival of water vole (being reintroduced to the waters following a 30 year absence https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-england-somerset-45479160/endangered-water-voles-return-to-somerset-river-after-30-years).  Later that day they worked on a practical task, clearing an overgrown sheep dip at Selworthy using a range of tools.

During the programme the students will learn about conservation, land management and agricultural tasks.
