Well done to the cast and crew of “The Crucible”, who performed to audiences at nightly shows over three evenings during the last week of term. The play, by Arthur Miller, told the story of the Salem witch trials in Massachusetts during the 1600s. Students did themselves proud presenting a powerful play, impressing audiences with their character portrayals and with the large volume of dialogue acted out.
In a change this year the vast majority of the play was performed not on the raised stage area in the hall but at ground level with the audience seated around in a semi-circle, which helped to give a closer connection between the actors and the audience.
Students from across Years 7 to 10 were involved in every aspect of the play as actors, back stage crew and technicians and are to be congratulated for all their hard work and commitment.
