Design Technology: Resistant Materials

Welcome to the Kingsmead School Design Technology Learning Team.

At Key Stage 3 (Years 7 & 8) students learn how to successfully shape a wide range of materials and equipment to produce attractive and useful objects. Some of the projects include a decorative mirror, a letter holder, a jig-saw puzzle and jewelry casting.

At Key Stage 4 (Years 9, 10 & 11) students study Edexcel Design Technology. Our students will continue learning about the design process and additional making processes to produce more demanding objects. In Year 10 students will begin work on their controlled assessment.
