The School Society consists of Parents, Teachers and Friends of Kingsmead School.
The Society was established to provide an opportunity for Staff and Parents to meet, discuss matters of mutual interest, organise and help at events involving the School. The Parents of the Committee are accustomed to being used as a sounding board for new ideas.
The A.G.M. is held every September when a new Committee is elected representing, where possible, the different areas in which our students live. New parents are always welcome, indeed we rely on an influx of new parents to bring new ideas and support.
Over the past years, the School Society has been involved in many events, including:
Assisting at School Discos.
Providing Refreshments at School Events.
Summer Fete.
Dances.
Discussions on topics of pressing concern.
Health Education, Drugs Policy, etc.
The Society annually takes out an insurance to cover accidents to students on the games field etc
